The “Give Love Project,” a community outreach initiative, successfully delivered vital services and support to over 500 adult beneficiaries on December 1, 2024, at Barangay Lubos 2, Minglanilla. The event, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 NN, brought together various organizations dedicated to serving the community and addressing its most pressing needs.
The project’s beneficiaries received an array of services, including the distribution of slippers, eyeglasses, food, and clothing, dental care, haircuts, and legal consultations. The initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Eagles, which focused on providing personal items and essential services; the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), which extended free legal assistance; and C.A.M.P., which handled logistics and ensured meals and clothing reached those in need.
The event was chaired by 2025 Director Mark Cuyos and supported by 2025 President Jefferson Ombe, whose leadership and resource mobilization proved instrumental in its success. Director Cuyos leveraged his network to bring in 9 doctors, while President Ombe tapped DASIG, an organization of medical professionals, to bring in additional doctors who provided much-needed healthcare services to the community.
The project’s success was a testament to the power of collaboration and dedication to service. The collective efforts of all involved, including JCI Cebu’s support in expanding the network of participating medical professionals, ensured that the outreach achieved its goal of making a meaningful impact. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the wide range of services offered, from health and legal assistance to providing necessities.
The “Give Love Project” not only addressed the community’s immediate needs but also reinforced the importance of compassion and cooperation in creating positive change. JCI Cebu, Inc. and its partners remain committed to organizing similar initiatives in the future, continuing their mission to uplift lives and serve humanity.
