“FURever HOME” is an animal welfare project of JCI Cebu that supports one of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) on Life on Land through the restoration of a local animal shelter following the aftermath of Typhoon Odette last 2021 and the rehabilitation of said houses for their adopted dogs. In addition to meeting the basic needs, the local organization also provides health assessment, medical and behavioral intervention, and other social welfare for our furry friends.
Furthermore, having an established animal shelter will also decrease the incidence of rabies infection and protect the community from threats of animal bites, decreasing animal abuse and cruelty. This program is also a stepping stone in providing community awareness on the importance of animal care and adoption.
