Breaking Bread: A Global Peace Campaign Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking

BREAKING BREAD, a Peace Advocacy Program of JCI Cebu, is inspired by the movie/series —Breaking Bad— whose story depicts a man abused by drugs and how it destroyed his family. This Global Peace Campaign ultimately aims to End Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking in the Philippines, and in the World.

This is just the BEGINNING. The enemy is BIG. Our vision is BRAVE & BOLD.

  1. Awareness. To open up conversation and raise awareness on the status of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, and its Effects to Individual Health, Families and Children.
  2. Commitment. To rally people in solidarity to a Pledge and Commitment for Peace Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking among Our Members, Our Partners, Our Stakeholders, and the Communities that we serve.
  3. Prevention. To call for Youth Empowerment through youth peace campaigns and Youth Action through Drug abuse preventive measures.
  4. Global Engagements. To make Peace Visits among our Foreign JCI Sister chapters, and expand the Peace Campaign against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking through Global Breaking Bread Talks and Global Pledge for Peace.

The Peace Advocacy Program responds to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal to create Peace and Justice Strong Institutions.
