The 2nd Jaycees Cup: A JCI Cebu Charity Golf Tournament
The 2nd Jaycees Cup was more than just a golf tournament—it was a purpose-driven initiative that combined sport, service, and impact. Organized by JCI Cebu on May 30, 2025, at Alta Vista Golf and Country Club, it brought together over 60 golfers and more than 20 sponsors, all aligned with one mission: to uplift and empower Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through inclusive opportunities.
The tournament raised ₱378,023 in gross income, maintained lean expenses at ₱294,810, and delivered a net profit of ₱83,213. Every peso was reinvested into sustainable development projects, including the donation of Smart TVs to DSWD AVRC II to enhance digital learning for PWD trainees.
Beyond the financial results, the event stood out for its transparent planning, innovative format, and community-centered spirit. By involving PWDs as both beneficiaries and active participants, the 2nd Jaycees Cup redefined what civic-led fundraising can accomplish—impactful, inclusive, and inspiring.
