Barangay Blueprint
Barangay Blueprint is JCI Cebu’s flagship international cooperation project with JCI Japan, SM GUUN, and the Cebu City Government. Designed to solve waste segregation challenges at the grassroots level, it empowered a barangay of 14,300 residents through immersive education, weekly collections, and policy integration. Supported by 37 trained Eco-Warriors and the influence of Japanese celebrity Fumiya Sankai, the project reached over 8million people online and received coverage in national and local media, including PTV and SunStar.
By promoting a human-centered solution to a systemic problem, Barangay Blueprint elevated JCI’s visibility, expanded youth and partner engagement, and enabled citywide replication through mayoral endorsement. This project transformed segregation from compliance to culture earning diplomatic recognition and inspiring future environmental and civic initiatives. More than a campaign, it was a movement, one that proved JCI can lead with both relevance and reach.
