Project BasuZero: Zero Waste Community

Project BasuZero: Zero Waste Community Initiative aims to empower barangays and schools to become active leaders in sustainable waste management through accessible infrastructure, civic education, and grassroots collaboration. It transforms the challenges of solid waste into opportunities for community-driven action, economic participation, and creative engagement.

By combining public fundraising events, arts-based advocacy, and localized consultation, the project seeks to build lasting behavioral change and initiate the groundwork for Material Recovery Facility (MRF) development. It promotes a circular mindset where waste is not discarded but redefined as a community resource, and strengthens JCI Cebu’s role as a trusted partner in local development.
