Civic APAC Exchange
The APAC Civic Exchange Phase 5 is a flagship international civic involvement program led by JCI Cebu in partnership with JCI Tanjung Aru, JCI Sibu, JCI Sangju, and JCI Japan. This multi-phase initiative empowered communities through leadership training, environmental education, digital inclusion, and cross-border collaboration. Highlights include civic dialogues in Malaysia, educational outreach for students in Cebu’s Pangan-an Island, and the Barangay Blueprint waste management program that diverted 56 tons of waste and saved ₱168,000 in tipping fees. The program mobilized 67% of JCI Cebu’s members and engaged over 1,200 non-JCI participants. It also inspired a 38.6% membership growth, reinforced JCI Cebu’s reputation as a civic leader, and promoted the JCI mission across Asia. With over 19,000 lives impacted and 12 communities engaged, the program demonstrated how strategic partnerships and global cooperation can create sustainable, scalable solutions to real-world challenges.
