Organized by the Regional Development Council Central Visayas (RDC 7) and NEDA Region 7, in partnership with the Philippine Open Government Partnership, the event served as a platform for insightful discussions on enhancing governance, transparency, and competitiveness within local governments.
The event featured a keynote message from Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, which set the stage for a series of expert talks. Celerino S. Magto, Jr. from DILG 7 spoke on the Seal of Good Local Governance, while Ma. Theresa Sederiosa from DTI 7 discussed the Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index. Candice Dianne B. Parena from ARTA highlighted the Electronic Business One Stop Shop initiative, Frederick Porras from DBM 7 shared insights on the procurement of common supplies in PS-DBM, and Ericka Blas from the Philippine Open Government Partnership (PH-OGP) emphasized the value of open governance.
In addition to the inspiring talks, the event was attended by key public officials and personnel from Region 7, along with representatives from various civil society organizations (CSOs), further enriching the dialogue on good governance and collaboration.
