The UNSDG Ride: A Project Management Mentorship on Wheels made a meaningful stop in Danao City, Cebu, on June 6–7, 2025, marking a two-day event filled with purpose-driven impact. More than 250 participants—students, children, and parents—gathered to take part in mentorship sessions, community engagement activities, and youth-led project showcases aimed at empowering local sectors and nurturing future changemakers. The ride served not only as a platform for learning but also as a space for collaboration and action, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

Among the standout moments of the event were several innovative student-led initiatives that addressed pressing community needs. “Hydration Without Cost” championed access to clean drinking water, while “Heart to Hand” fostered emotional support for children and families. “Move and ‘Grove’” encouraged physical activity and environmental responsibility, and “Wall of Wonders” creatively merged education with interactive storytelling. Other remarkable efforts, such as “Klaseton,” “Project AGAK,” and “Healthy Smiles,” showcased how education, empathy, and health can converge in youth advocacy.

The success of the Danao leg would not have been possible without the invaluable support of partners and sponsors who believed in the power of mentorship and grassroots innovation. Dunkin’ Donuts and Virginia Food, Inc. kept participants energized, while logistical and moral backing came from the Danao City Youth Commission, Travel Bee, and Big Hotel. Their contributions reinforced the importance of investing in the next generation of leaders.

Participants shared how the mentorship sessions ignited their confidence to pursue meaningful projects in their communities. The experience not only fostered skills in project management but also a deeper understanding of collective responsibility. Many attendees left the event feeling empowered to lead with empathy, purpose, and sustainability in mind.

Beyond the mentorship and project presentations, the ride also served as a celebration of youth potential. Interactive breakout sessions, storytelling activities, and community games helped strengthen bonds among participants and create a shared vision of impact-driven leadership.
