As Cebu prepares to celebrate the 2026 Sinulog Festival, JCI Cebu invites festival-goers to be part of “Pick-it-tit!”, a special community initiative that combines environmental sustainability and health advocacy through BasuZero and Project HiV. Happening on January 18, 2026, at the Cebu Airmail Express – Capitol Branch, the project encourages participants to celebrate responsibly while making a positive impact on the community.

Through BasuZero, attendees are encouraged to bring empty plastic bottles for proper collection, helping reduce waste generated during the festival. Project HiV complements the initiative by promoting health awareness and encouraging the public to learn more about HIV education and responsible health practices. Participants who support the campaign will also receive special giveaways as a token of appreciation.

Led by Aud. Nel Luceño, VP Jay Alegarbes, and SG Brandon Daryle Barreto, in collaboration with JCI Roxas Sinadya, the initiative reflects JCI Cebu’s commitment to creating cleaner celebrations, healthier communities, and more meaningful civic engagement during one of the Philippines’ biggest festivals.
