In response to the devastating third-alarm fire that struck Barangay Ermita on April 4, 2026, JCI Cebu immediately activated Oplan Kaagapay to provide relief and assistance to the more than 350 displaced individuals from 98 affected families. The initiative aims to mobilize community support by collecting essential supplies and financial donations for families who lost their homes and belongings.
Led by Project Chairs Kurt Justin Jacalan and Fave Guelbert Suico, the donation drive called on members, partners, and the public to contribute food, clean drinking water, clothing, medicines, hygiene kits, and other basic necessities ahead of the scheduled relief distribution on April 21, 2026.
The campaign reflects JCI Cebu’s unwavering commitment to serving communities during times of crisis while promoting the spirit of bayanihan. Through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and partner organizations, Oplan Kaagapay continues to bring hope, compassion, and immediate assistance to families as they begin rebuilding their lives after the tragedy.
