JCI Cebu celebrated another milestone for Project BERDE Year 3 with the successful completion and turnover of a hydroponics greenhouse at Everlasting Hope on January 9, 2026. Conducted in partnership with Pink Box Project x Everlasting Hope, the dedication and mini turnover program marked the beginning of a new chapter in empowering children battling cancer and their families through sustainable urban farming.

The initiative provides beneficiaries with hands-on training in hydroponics, enabling them to grow healthy food while exploring opportunities for sustainable livelihood. More than a greenhouse, the project serves as a platform for learning, resilience, and hope, allowing participants to apply the knowledge they have gained in building a healthier future.

Led by Vice President for Community Development and Project Chair Jay Emanuel Alegarbes, with the support of JCI Cebu President Daryl Jabil, volunteers, members, and partners, Project BERDE continues to demonstrate JCI Cebu’s commitment to creating sustainable community impact through innovation, empowerment, and service.
